Well I tried to draw a bird, or a plane but it turned out looking like this.
Fanart of superman. practicing my art style.
I know he isn't furry, but i thought I'd share this one.

I want it to be superman...not some gritty reboot of the character. superman is just not gritty. and thats what i like about him. he is what he is, and you cannot change him. his costume, his hair, his demeanor. is in my opinion flawless. which makes him in some peoples opinion too good of a character for most storytelling. if this new movie pulls off what superman is supposed to be, instead of what they want him to be, then this new movie will work.
The movie doesn't look gritty, it just looks to be a more serious take on the character, and it doesn't look dark, and according to cavill the movie is far from being dark. all the music they've used for the trailers don't scream dark, the second half of the second trailer looked a lot more optimistic than the first half of it.
even in trailer 2, at the end supes/clark says "My father believed that if the world found out who I really was, that the world would reject me. He was convinced that the world wasn't ready. What do you think?"
I think that line points to Pa Kent's fears being unfounded, and that during the course of the movie, the world {or at least metropolis} accepts superman.
I believe this movie will be more serious than the reeves movies, but not dark and gritty, and dare I say it, genuinely optimistic.
ever read all star superman? There's a really touching scene where this girl is going to jump off a building. Superman talks with her, and eventually tells her that she's stronger than she seems. The last panel is them two hugging. I want a scene

bah I say.
I think a really good interpretation of superman was from the bruce timm animated series. then again, anything him and paul dini touch turn to pure gold.
I say that he's called superman, not because of all his fancy powers but because he's a genuinely kind and caring being, whose selflessness knows no bounds. he values all life.
This shows in the second trailer, where he gets upset over the thought of letting the kids in the bus die even if it might make him an outcast or freak.
