The origin of the breed has nothing to do with nationality. A good example would be my puppy. He is a Keeshond. His breed originated in Holland. He was born in Ottawa, Canada, but is now living in Memphis, Tennessee. Therefore, his birthplace would be Ottawa, Canada and his nationality (where he is registered) would be American. Holland doesn't come into the picture anywhere. Besides, this is what Sparky wanted on his Wanted poster.
