You guys may know by now that I have a fancy for certain species when it comes to collecting. For those of you that don't, here they are in no particular order:

Reptiles
Fish
Birds

they are my three favorites to collect. However, I do love all of my collection. I just find it fascinating how incrediably intricate and DELICATE these pieces are. THey are harder to find, as its harder to clean them and have them stay in tact.

A prime example of how fragile and intricate is this Trigger Fish. I was showing this piece to my father who always enjoys it when a new piece for the display arrives...and just him turning it in his hand I heard a sickening "crack" from the piece. Just the touch from my father's fingertip caused one of the fins to snap off. Thankfully, I was able to fix it. "Crack" is never something any collector ever wants to hear her collection utter....
