http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHydngA5C4EFigured since its my birthday I could allow myself to go ahead and finish this one up. A personal piece representing letting go of the past so that the future can begin.
Though I have moved on, there are still times when I think of him and I'm reminded of how much it hurt to walk away, and how poisonous things got toward the end. Sometimes you let people so deep into your heart, you'll never be able to pull them out again, even though they hurt you. But it all happens for a reason. You learn your lesson, you hang onto the good memories and let the rest go to make room for the new.
Just as my life has turned toward better things, I have plans for Luthien's story to take a new and positive direction as well. When I can spare the time and energy for it, I'll continue to tell that story through art, and I appreciate those who follow along. :)

This is absolutely beautiful, the colors are so vibrant and your inkwork is amazing. You've outdone yourself.
It's hard to wak away from things and people when you need too... when life starts to take that turn for the better though we know that it was worth the pain. I just recently went through that pain and finally things seems to be changing for the better.
I hope your life continues to get better.

the coloring came out so beautifully in this, I Hope you are doing well and continue to move past this hill. Hopefully you'll look back some day and see that it was all just a minor climb on your way to greater things. I look forward to seeing how Luthiens story plays out from here.

This is a truly lovely piece of art. You can really tell that a lot of emotion and hard work went into making it. As always, you render nature so beautifully, the details in the trees and flowers and the colours of the sky make it look like such a soft and inviting place to be.

Happy Birthday! I've never seen anyone draw a present to themselves before. I think I understand the meaning, there are times when thinking back on people I've drifted away from and can never get in touch with again, and it's comforting to know I'll never meet the bully from high school, or other people who became drains on my life.

You are such a strong, wonderful woman and it seems that no matter what happens to you and no matter what path your boat travels, you welcome your future with open arms and a smile.
To move onward is so, so important. I also have recently, in 2012, left a toxic relationship, in order to accept a better future. With all of my health problems, with all of the things I wish for and need, my past relationship just couldn't be what I lived for. I wish the absolute best for your new life, and I hope to see more of your personal art here in my submissions.
