Darkness has come
Believe and you will find your way
Darkness has fallen
A promise lives within you now
Last drawing for 2007. Got only two pencils for that one, so...
Will edit that soon, I'm way too tired to add more comment just now...

I feared that could may understand as a letter shred into piece. You're right, she's holding the last letter of a beloved person close to her heart, but no she didn't shred it into flakes ^^' I'll certainly correct that drawing as soon as I change that move into a windwhirl
That may be the case. Sometime that's not.
Unfortunately I learned that even if I want to put some meanings in the drawing, the others who will see it will give another meaning ot it, sometimes completely reversed to mine.
Ok, let see that one. Behind her there is no house, not even a trace of a village. We can see a road, and a main gate, and another which seems deserted but opened. The wall is damaged, and she's holding a christmas card.
I have to admit that I was inspired by the song Enya which was written on that very same card that a friend sent me days ago.
With that explaination, I suppose that I wanted to draw her returning to her home with the meaning of that song close to her heart after she searched it in the mailbox, just behind that ruined wall which protect her house even if that's now damaged. May it be. May it be what?
... That's just a meaning after all.
Some find hope in the stars leading to the heaven, some may think that's a letter shred into pieces and thrown into the wind.
And your?

At first knowing so little of the history of the piece I really just saw it literally as Bothan leaving a desolate place, heading off to somewhere with a bit of hope with her, looking for love maybe. The stars really just came at me as something pretty in the sky, but I now kinda see it has inspiration, a reason for hope, or something along those lines.
But I'm tiered and am sure I got it wrong. And that's ok, cus art is through interpretation, and your work is still interpreted as something wonderful.
