protectorate building ideas

the jasobal protectorate currently dominates earth and a significant part of the galaxy in which the RTS game is set in. as is implied in their name, this faction specializes in strength and defence, functioning much like GDI or the soviets from older westwood games, a feel i'm trying to re-establish, no thanks to EA ruining it.
the idea for protectorate buildings is that they are tough and can shift into a defensive, low-power or no-power consumption state. this bunker mode gives the building double hit points though it will likely deactivate whatever it was the building was doing or completely building units first but then stopping just short of releasing the unit due to it being in a lock-down state. all buildings will shift to their bunker mode when hit by weapons fire, but the exception to this rule are defensive structures which will fire back or at any enemies nearby.
very quickly:
the rotary cannon turret folds up and down from their stowage bins which also acts an ammo container. the turret tracks both aircraft and ground targets. it does significant damage to both infantry and aircraft thanks to its heavy penetrator-fragmentation rounds, but those don't faze tanks although with some doing will still swiss-cheese lighter vehicles.
infantry barracks and vehicle plants both collapse into the ground to serve as a bunker. the protectorate technology building seals itself up tightly like a clam. the cascadium (resource item) power plant rotates its shield around itself and lowers its power output due to not having air flow when all sealed up. i'm considering giving it a further bit of protection, a 3rd bunker mode which activates upon reaching 50% hp by allowing it to sink into the ground, presumably to prevent a large explosion of sorts.
also here, i'm trying out the logo and flag for the faction, liking it so far.
