In this picture he's made of super sculpey and resin. The lighter part there is resin. I had made a body years ago and just back to completing my ideas.

Are you painting and body brushing it when its done?

Nope! This one I'm going to make a rubber mold of and then cast it in resin so I can make and sell as many as I want! They'll be blank when I sell them, so the buyer can paint them any way they want too. I will of course be painting my own and maybe a few to sell as limiteds, but if it were me out there, I'd want to paint my own.

What kind of Clay is it that you use?...I have a hunch that I may like to get into this considering I have quite soem skill with sculpy and I play with my gummyeraser all the time making it into some pretty realistic lookin things.

I have seen several artists' ball jointed creations, and this is one of my favorites!
You said you will be making them to sell? How much do you estimate doing so if you do?

It really depends on what I use (I'm still studying products) I found a very hard papermache that is like ceremic from Germany and after it is poured it is hollow. I'm going to get some to experiment with. If I use that it will be a lot less expensive then normal BJD's as I won't have to drill each and every piece to string it.

It will be awhile before I even get that far though, but I'll let you know. Thanks so much for liking her.

how long does it usually take to get to this point? (head & body) ?

It really depends on how happy I am with it.. this took me about two days, the joints for the arms and legs are the hard part. I won't be making anymore bodies after this. But once I have this one made I can make different heads for the same body, which will be much easier.
