On the last day of November 2003, I left the house and made my way to the rendez vous I had with this charming guy I had met on the Internet a few days earlier and who's husky voice from over the phone still rang in my ears... I sat on the cold marble that is the base of the Independence monument in Floriana. Some minutes later, his car appeared, picked me up and took me on the most exciting ride of my life. A ride I am still enjoying: my love for Frederick.
Finally I have found my missing half. Someone who loves me for who I am, who looks out for me, who gives me the strenght I need when life throws me crap. Frederick is the man I look forward to spending my life with because time and time again he's already stayed by my side when things got tough. And this life is a journey, one for which I could not ask for a better companion. To think that I could have missed out on all of this joy if I had given in to my intial bout of cold feet! But I took a chance and it paid off, thanks to Fred's faith in me right from the start.
