Assuming I can secure the insurance to pay for the physical.
Assuming I pass the physical and get clearance for hormones.
Assuming I can afford the estrogen and anti-androgens.
This is what I'm hoping to look like in a few years. Still chunky, still with glasses, and nosurgerypleasekthanks.
Here's hoping!

turns out the gods are fickle bastards... you end up with massive boobs instead , you may have to throw the quiet look...
seriously though hormonal therapy can shift where the chunk sits a fair bit, good luck reguardless I hope you find a place you feel comfortable with yourself.

well I'm hoping that WHEN the time comes it shifts to all the RIGHT locations...
I had a couple friends who went through it all ... some went a bit weird deciding they couldn't associate with their suportive friends that helped them... one friend even decided that now he was a girl he shouldn't like startrek ... and sold all his collectors edition everything from tos to ds9...
PLEASE don't do that, remember changing gender is NOT changing personality.. don't ever become someone you were not, if you promise that I swear I'll love you for it
(sorry it just hurts when you help someone, defend them from their parents, and have them reject your friendship for years only later to expect you to keep them entertained late nights online when they are bored... I deleted them from my contacts after that, real friends are always friends, not just when it's conveniant)
gah sorry again but yeah GOOD LUCK with everything

Just, out of curiosity, because it it has alway intrigued me and I hope you don't mind the question.
At which point did you realize it was not just a fetish, but something you need to go through? when did you know it was not just fantasy, but a necessity for yourself?
Unless you have always know who you really was and were just waiting to be ready?

Good question! For me, it was when I found myself thinking about being a girl outside of sexual situations. I would find myself looking at girls and having, as a first thought, "I want to BE that."
And then not so much as a necessity. I don't have gender disphoria, really. I'm not UNhappy being a guy, just aware that I'd be happier as a girl. And if there's enough time in the course of a lifetime to go for it and see if it truly does make me happy, why not do it?
