'The afternoon was hot and dry, the desert sun sending shafts of light through the torn and tattered ribbons and rafters of the Old City souk, flecks of dust catching the rays like tiny pieces of gold. The light reflected off of Muzafr's equally golden scales as she navigated the afternoon crowd, taking her time down the slick limestone road, polished by centuries of travelers.

Finally breaking from the souk, the tell-tale archways alerting her that she was approaching her destination. She passed the check-point guards, who gave her a second glance as she passed, scanning her for any weapons beneath her white robes. Muzafr turned her chin up at them and strutted by, the claws of her wide, calloused feet clicking as she passed. She didn't need a weapon where she was going today...

The transition from shade to direct sunlight was striking as Muzafr exited the Old City gateway, the smooth stone reflecting a bright white. Muzafr flickered her eyes up to the golden dome, winking at her in the direct desert sunlight, each tile glimmering. She made her way up the wide staircase and was finally greeted by her old friend. The Dome of the Rock perched proudly, the millions of blue and golden tiles and swirled marble glinting down at her and reflecting off her scales. Muzafr slowly approached the Dome, a wide, thin smile stretching across her maw. As she walked around the sides to her spot in the shade beneath the southern entrance, she reached out her hand, placing her palm firmly against the sun-warmed marble and letting her claws run against it as she walked around it.

'Assalam alaikum, my friend,' she murred as she slipped into the shade. 'Assalam alaikum.''

Yay for longer narrative! Muzafr needs some fun backstory with her pictures. I'll try and do some more often, inshallah.

Also, pretty much describes my first time at the Dome of the Rock. <3 I miss it a lot.

A-and, another eye-con - did this one before the snake eye - I wanted one of Muzafr and...went ahead and did one quick. Glad I did - love the shading - ah, old realistic shading. Looks amazing on her scales, doesn't it?
