Not that this gal couldn't handle herself - she's buff, and those coils? Solid strength. That's what I love about snakes...
I absolutely /love/ nagas. I love looking at them, drawing them, colouring them, shading them, highlighting them, designing them... They lend themselves so perfectly to my shading style - all those little glistening scales, mmm!
Having had a pet snake before helps, such as knowing where to put all the skin folds - how their skin is actually quite loose and dry - and how crazy coiled up they can get, lol.
Torso and arms reffed from myself, lol. I've found that using myself for reference is a great drawing exercise as well as extremely convenient.
Expect more sultry serpents from me in the near future~ Inshallah.
