Ozawk Sketchbook Cover/Back

I been saving the cover for a day when I felt inspired to do it good & proper, and I woke up this morning and felt the inspirational vibe to tackle it. The front cover is the right hand side, it wraps around to the back, shown on the left here.

It features

Ozawk himself and his character Eva also! Whee I got to be adventurous with traditional media today :>

What tools did you use? Especially for the white outline? This looks fantastic!

Thank you! This was a variety of Micron pens, warm grey Copic markers, a white colored pencil, and a white gel pen (which is how I did the outline and the sharper shinies). 'v' Hope that helps!

Awesome!

How much do those pens usually run you? I use a Pigma Sensei .3mm inking pen, and the set for those pens was $25

And thanks! I went out and bought some white gel pens, a Gelly Roll and a Uniball, and I LOVE using them! :D Thanks for directing me to them.

Is the cover separate from the actual sketch book? Like a book cover/slip, or is it the actual sketch book surface? If separate, what material did you use for this? C: It's SO lovely and I've wanted to try something similar but I'm not very knowledgeable with real media.

I really really love all the details you put into it. Fantastic job, really C: ♥

Thank you! :D The cover is a part of and attached to the original sketchbook, not a slipcover. It's a Moleskine and they make a fantastic line of Cahier sketchbooks with this sort of cover (the one I'm using is the brown one). I think cheaper brands make similar stuff too though. Could always just play around with brown paper bags or butcher paper for fun, too! c: Doesn't matter if you're knowledgeable or not, give it a try...half the fun of traditional media is experimentation. Do you need to worry about the white pencil blurring at all? I have no idea, simply curious.

Thanks Mits! I don't think so, I tried smudging it a bit and it was pretty unwavering. Prismacolor pencils are pretty quality. Should be fine as-is!

I think there are a lot of people that would be extremely jealous of this sketchbook and want to have something as unique. Myself included! Spectacular line work / composition / continuation onto the back cover / hand-drawn typography.
