Meet Amber, the spirit of Autumn! She is responsible for the leafs changing colours, the chilly wind and much more. She wears a comfy and warm turtle neck sweater, shorts and leggings. Her hair is usually in a bit of a mess and often has twigs and leafs stuck in it.
I'm sure this has been done a million times already, I've heard of Autumn characters for ROTG done a lot, but I wanted to do it anyways.
Originally I wanted to give her a cute, off shoulder sweater, but I thought maybe it'd be a tad too cold of an outfit, although fall weather tends to vary. I'm not -completely- happy with the outfit and may tweak it, may not. I thought it may be too simple, but usually simple is what's best.
This is a fan character for Rise of the Guardians, just for fun!

:I Nope. Notta chance. The face in the bottom right corner looks PRETTY legit Disney quality....if not, then a more Americanized, high-quality anime style or something.
BASICALLY IT LOOKS AMAZING, AND YOU SHOULD FEEL AMAZING <3
and yeah, I know a TON of people that would love to work with Disney....trouble is, I know even more that would LOVE for them to atone for their past sins by getting a legit animation department back together and doing 2D art style movies again instead of the 3D stuff they've been doing....Because while it may be easier to just model stuff in with 3D, it simply CANNOT compare to the expert level of detail and quality that old-school disney flicks had <3

It feels like whenever someone gets fired from Disney, they've gone over and started working with Dreamworks...I mean, think about it for a second:
Before Dream Works happened, Don Bluth was the biggest name in animation films outside of Disney once he went independent...And once Dreamworks released Antz (ironically around the same time "A Bug's Life" was put out by Disney), Don Bluth was on his way out... Ever since then, Dreamworks has been the biggest competitor against Disney for their kind of market, and even though their movies may not have gotten as big of a success in advertising, their movies are still just as brilliant and entertaining as Disney's stuff!
But I'm going way off topic here xD Here's hoping you make it! (cuz that'd be pretty awesome!!!)

Disney has always been something big and inspirational for me. However, I prefer how dream works, works. They are both very similar, especially in quality and don't get me wrong, I love disneys cliche stories, some don't, I love em. But I feel like dream works steps out of the boundaries more, which I'd have more fun working on.
oh I fully agree!! Disney always has been magical to me, and as cliche as their stories can be, i still love them x3
I mean, I was in college at the time the Princess and the Frog was released, and many of the guys were just releasing groans around me when I mentioned it...but when I finally got to see it (on DVD) i LOVED the movie!!! It felt like I was reconnecting with something I had lost and hadn't found in a long, long time :)
But as you said, Dreamworks does step out of the boundaries and tackle things Disney hasn't. But regardless, there's no reason why you wouldn't be able to work at either place! :D

First time I watched it, didn't like it much, but love it after watching it again, I re watch it often.
Of course, but you'd also be working on something for two years or more, so id chose dreamworks if I could chose. I've also heard a lot of bad things from people who've worked with Disney, but this was long ago abs I don't recall the details.

yeah, i think i might have read something that was spread as a rumor around on deviantart a few years ago when I was discussing old disney animated movies ;o
i would certainly hope things have gotten better! but at the same time, i feel like if the bad things were taken care of or non-existent, it'd still be cool to be a part of some big disney film x3

I also wouldn't say cgi is easier, it's simply different with its own pros and cons. The reason so many people do it is popularity, the world changes, despite still liking 2D.
Cgi allows for so many little details that you can't do in 2D, which is time consuming. I can't imagine how bored that guys who did Rapunzels hair must have been. From what I remember, it took two guys to do her hair only, as they did so many strands.
I'm not debating which is better, and would prefer you don't either (not saying you would, just saying it in case lol), I enjoy both styles, so ya, I don't think one is better. Just saying that it isn't really easier, maybe in some ways, but is hard in others.

I'm just saying that some people argue one is better than the other. I say it's easier because it's quicker to get the smaller details in with CGI, but the trade-off definitely is a need for more of a completely different type of artist.
All of that aside, I'd love to see more movies that seamlessly blend CGI and animation together. Each art style is better in their own right, but at the same time, when put together they can make for amazing artistic creations (i'm thinking Disney's Atlantis, here. You could tell there was CGI at some parts, but it didn't quite look forced or out-of-place that I can recall...of course, it's been a while since I last watched it ^^;;)
