In the anime series Yukikaze, the FRX-00 was the proposed replacement for the Fairy Air Force's FFR-31MR/D Super Sylph. It represented a radical new approach to fighter design, with single-petal thrust nozzles, a multi-sectioned airframe, a detachable cockpit pod, overwing weapon stations, shifting wings, and no vertical stabilization.
Moreover, it was also intended all along to be a springboard to production of an unmanned fighter --- the cockpit pod could be swapped for an AI control unit, resulting in the FRX-99 (essentially the same identical airframe, but entirely unmanned). There was even a mock dogfight held between an FRX-00 and an FRX-99, whose results were a 3:0 kill ratio for the FRX-99.

As you can see by the performance ratings, the FRX-00 is one tough cookie --- it can perform air combat maneuvers you would never think possible, and it's FAST. It definitely performs within the range of a 6th-generation fighter, and many of it's capabilities go well beyond that.
In fact, it wouldn't be brash to say that the FRX-00 Mave might even be a vision of the SEVENTH generation of fighter aircraft!
