I imagined what would happen if somewhere within the Pokemon universe, some twisted individual whom was once apart of the development team that created the magnemites (assuming that magnemites are man-made) had also created a computer virus that was secretly implanted into every magnemite ever manufactured. On activating the virus, it would immediately attack the magnemite's central core processor and would begin a chain reaction along its internal circuitry. This chain reaction would not only affect its programming, but would also alter the magnemite's very appearance and in turn transform it from the humble robotic servant of man into a merciless killing machine.
