Because I felt like making it :P
I've been considering putting together some tutorials (that look a bit more professional... like with actual fonts and stuff) in a pdf that people could buy for like $5 if they wanted it. Covering stuff like character design, colour theory, digital tips and tricks, etc. It's still up in the air, I always feel like a douche making stuff like that because it seems to give off this air of 'I know so much look at me hohoho' but really, I'm learning still, and it would just be a compilation of some things I've learned and that helped me.
But I'm still not sure if I'll make it or if there's even any interest.
Ramble over, here have some frost.

Nice, cool to see stuff broken down like this, sometimes simple things can look so complex. Also I'd totally buy your tutorials! You've got such an amazing grasp on digital painting and I... do not, to the point that I'm discouraged from doing it when I try. Tutorials always at the very least motivate me to give things a shot :)
I'm probably an ass here, but I thought this was about a sparkly glowing flower.
As far as I know, frost, has ice crystals. Which is something that spreads out in straight lines with occasional angles, definitely not as round and smooth as in this example.
Not that it makes this any less pretty though! D:

Just a few examples of frost's insane versatility. It's never the same. I chose to go with something more along the lines of the first one, but slightly stylized.

I said this to someone above, I feel like some people have just never seen frost on a windowpane before, but here's the ref I used most obviously:

And if you scroll down to window pane frost on the wiki page it even says that they are sometimes called 'fern frost' or 'ice flowers' so... apt: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frost

To me the best way to learn as an artist is from a more experienced artist. Its not a know it all thing. If someone has put more time, dedication and study into their craft, like drawing, its going to show in their work and they do really know more than you. And one of your biggest benefits as a lesser studied artist is the opportunity to learn from them.
I have to say I admire every aspect of your work. Your anatomy and anthro style. Your use of space and poses. And definitely your coloring. Its all very beautiful, and I really look up to you so much.
I for one would definitely love for you to give more serious tutorials, as I’m studying the work of my favorite artists right now to improve.
