Painted Raccoon Skull Study
First day of class in my Color Theory course, and we did nothing in particular, so I painted from my cast resin raccoon skull that I decided to bring with me today (and yes, I was able to stand it on its foramen magnum with no supports - and with the mandible fully able to disarticulate, this pose was an unexpectedly good one from me just dinking around with it : ) ). I rather quite like it.
Oil paints on MDF board, ~3 1/2 x 5 inches? Around 4 hours of work.
