And this is the view out of my bedroom window at about 5pm today, my car is sufficiently tucked in with snow for the night and it has stopped snowing (for now) although they haven't said more snow is due.
Hope it doesn't freeze because if it does the road will be very hard to drive on, i do like the sky in this one and am surprised how clear it came out with the lack of light or a tripod. Seems i'm lucky at times ;)

Thanks :3 Shaftesbury is a small town sort of in the south west of the UK to the north north west of Poole and the new forest national park, its out in the sticks but its a fairly large town. We moved here from Salisbury where i still work which is 20 miles to the east.
If you search for "Gold Hill" on Google the first link should come up as Wikipedia which tells you about the hill and also has links for Shaftesbury and the surrounding area .. if your interested of course :P

As do i :) fortunately around the area i live its easy enough to walk around but driving out of Shaftesbury is a nightmare in this weather. I was set to leave for work half an hour earlier than usual at 6am, after the 15 minutes i spent clearing the car, i drove 2 miles and after sliding all over the place on a gentle slope i turned round and drove back home (day off today)
The A30 east of Shaftesbury has some pretty evil hills and theres a pinch point on one hill, and in my car with traction control that can't be turned off .. nope .. not this morning :P
Thanks kindly for the comment *wags*

That sounds like you have a quite long drive to work. I have only 12 kilometers, but two rather challenging slopes on the way (one being the one next to my house). Calling the day off is certainly better than risking your car and your health. You're from the UK, I guess? Here in Austria we had no snow for the winter so far, but the last three days tried to make up for that
I'm not too fond of London myself, too big for a Wusky .. i prefer wide open spaces of country :P makes things more interesting when we get snow/ice like we have at the moment hehe. Glad you enjoyed London though, i might explore some of it during the year as i would like to walk along the thames and go sight seeing :D
I'm from a rather rural area, so big cities are a nice change for me, although I could hardly imagine myself living in one. But visits are okay And sightseeing is indeed fantastic in London, I was a week there and only saw a part of what I had intended. This year I plan to visit NYC and also see a Broadway performance of TLK A dream will come true with that...
I've not seen this much snow fall in one morning in many years, at least 7 years to my knowledge. I miss the winters when i was a pup, it was a common thing to have a foot of snow during winter instead of the inch.. or inches we get now. Yay for messed up weather systems!
So do i half the time, but the weather system we had involved cold air from the North and warm air from the west meeting over the southwest of the UK turning the rain from the west into snow .. it affected alot of the UK and its not happened for a long time. Maybe we'll get more snow on Sunday night ... maybe :P
