It looks cute so far! ^^ Can't wait to see what it looks like when it is done.

And to help with the lighting issue, you could do what I do, and have two light sources (either a lamp and an overhead light, two lamps, etc, etc,) and then shut off the flash on the camera. That seems to help me photograph extra reflective surfaces such as a laminated sheet of paper, or a metal object.

I was using my camera in the dark ^-^;; The back light was my laptop because that's where i was working on it
