Ah no wonder you spotted the aussie shepherd in my dog. Hehe. Cutie! Yeah I'd gotten Jake from a rescue group too though drove from NJ to outside of Boston to get him. Long drive though after I saw his picture on-line I just fell in love. Hehe.

I understand the love at first sight thing. Skye was the same way. She was such a cute puppy. Six months old when we got her. She's almost 9 now. My family had an Aussie named Aussie. Got him when I was 10. He was 18 when he had to be put down. He could barely walk and his bladder wouldn't hold anymore. I miss him.

Awwwws. :( Yeah it's always tough having to do that. But wow, 18 is a good run. I had a aussie/german shepherd mix named Sheba. She made it until 1 day before her 15th birthday when we had to put her down. That was last July and still get upset thinking on it alot. :( Pets really are wonderful. They give so much and want so little in return ya know? *sigh*

Your babies are just lovely! Australians, Cattle dogs or Shepherds, are just awesome dogs. I owned a Shepherd growing up. He lived to be 18! All he wanted was to make his family happy and proud.
My Skye has taken the place of Cheyenne after she died. Cheyenne used to be my shadow, my protector, my joy. Now Skye has moved into that position. She's never more than a couple feet from me. I hope to have her with me for a long time still since she's only 9. But, Cheyenne was almost 10 when she died.
