In an age where watermelons are in danger of being forgotten, left on the wayside of life and un-taken care of, there is only one man who can save them, one man who can rise through their round, entangled ranks, and bring them to the striped shiny glory they deserve...only one...MELONMAN!
Of course, that's not to say that he only delves in matters regarding watermelons. Melonman appears when he can to help people when he knows they're in trouble, even if they point at his costume as he flies by - well, Melonman may leave a guy standing in the rain if he laughes at the chest symbol, but if it's a car crashing into him, then Melonman will save the day. Heck, when you can fly, have a harder than average body, and be able to gauge the status of any plant matter at a glance, it's all but expected of you to help others.
That last one doesn't get used too often to save others, but it has its uses.
Unusually, it seems that this Megalopolis hero is being joined by a villain this flight, a strange winged dragon by the name of Dr. J. Sinister (or rather, that's what the media calls him). This dragon, as far as Melonman knows, is no threat to watermelons - hell, the two of them have teamed up on occassion to save rare breeds from being trampled by the hoards of life - but he's not one to take lightly! Armed with transformatives and mind wibbliers that will make any man weak kneed, muscle bound, and positively hunky-doory with being a hunky doormatt.
Despite this, Dr. J. Sinister seems to have not built in any safeguards on his devices - more often than not, his defeats come from being put on the effect-end of his own weapons. It's almost as though he wants to have this happen...
That's right ladies and gentlemen, it's another impressive and sweet picture by Edania, the artist who gave us the ''Alek and the Cafe'' miniseries and ''My Jacey!'', this time designing a new costume for Taiko to fly around in! Much like ''My Jacey!'', this picture was funded by one Jace the huggable, ever so great to be around dragon, and I have to say, I loves it I loves it I loves it I loves it I loves it I loves it I loves it~
As I've noted before, Edania really does awesome work for a great price, and given that she drew this up without any previous references of such a design, this works as proof thereof to my statements to her quality. This woman needs more monies! Check her gallery! Buy people, buy, and look out for Melonman in the sky~!
Credit also goes to Jace, again, for being an awesome friend, and for knowing just what to ask for to get great results. Seriously, thank you Jace - there's no way I can thank you enough for this, nor Edania either~ *gets the mind wibblier warmed up for use as he squees some more*
Art is by the very talented
lordsnape , and totally deserves more attention for the design work here~
Dr. J. Sinister looks similar to, but is in NO way at all the same guy as
x1gameguy2007
Melonman is not Hive, and never has been! However, he is probably
taiko , because who else would wear that getup (awesome as it is) on a moment's notice?
