Well the lil Liger got nerdy and decided t revisit two of my alien species using the opportunity to revamp them a bit. Seeing as it's been a while I'll do some info on their species first and then move on to the lil story.

The Saevai are a mammalian egg laying species native to the planet Saevena. What they lack in stature and brute strength they make up for in speed, agility and intelligence. They are highly adept with technologies as well as possessing moderate level telepathic ability. They are a monogender species which reproduces via Parthenogenesis through they require a partner for stimulation of the process and to use as a template to randomize their own genes. They are most comfortable in smaller spaces and at heights as their species made their homes in the trees. They are fairly communal and social having good negociation skills though as a whole some of their natural behavior is viewed by others as infantile such as their use of absorbent garments for body waste disposal among other things.

The Synkal are a Synthetic species native to the Planet Hitonia. Their creators the Hetone initially created them as service machines but as a plague spread through the planet the Synkal also began to gain Sapience. The Hetone granted the Synkal full rights and eventually passed down their civilization to them as they themselves became extinct. The Synkal draw much of their inspiration for design improvements from nature and have retained a form that bears some similarities to their creators. In a way they are not unlike organics in their life cycle. They are created in a small state which via ingestion of raw materials will grow to the final state utilizing nanotechnology. This childhood typically last 20 years with some variance and is essential for their proper development of their minds.

"So how have things been at the lab?" Daj the Synkal dressed in a very minimalistic casual attire asked his diminutive Saevai friend.

"With the Exchange program a bit uncomfortable. I'm working with a number of humans and well a few of them slip into thinking I'm just a hatchling." Arkel said shaking his head after taking a bite of his Jinka fruit.

"Well you are kinda cute ya know Arkel. Besides to most other species you do have the appearance at a glance of a young one." Daj reminded as he took a bite of his own fruit. He didn't need to eat but he enjoyed the taste of many organic foods even if they provided little in the way of materials his body required.

"Yeah I know but I just keep blushing half the time. This one human female seems to have very strong maternal instincts in she's practically broadcasting her thoughts." Arke said with a light laugh shaking his head.

"Well you know if your interested I'd love to have you aboard my ship. We're going to be doing some survey missions out past the Sol system and I could use a good science officer." Daj asked as they walked.

"Hmmm does sound temping. You know what I'll take the job. I need to get out more anyway." Arkel grinned up

"Good. Never feels quite right not having a Saevai at the science post. We might be good logical thinkers but lets face it Saevai are much more creative than us." Daj said mentally comparing Saevai and Synkal art.

"Well hence why our Alliance has been rock solid since it was formed. We compliment each other well." Arkel said proudly.

"That we do. That we most certainly do." Daj grinned as they continued their walk through the market.
