For double SATB Choir arranged antiphonally. Written for Christmas, but I'm a little late in both finishing it and uploading it.
It is VERY important to listen to this piece with a stereo setup (either headphones or stereo speakers.) If not the antiphonal effect will be lost.
Hodie Christus natus est:
hodie Salvator apparuit:
hodie in terra canunt Angeli,
lætantur Archangeli:
hodie exsultant justi, dicentes:
Gloria in excelsis Deo!
(English Translation)
Today Christ is born:
today the Saviour appeared:
today on Earth the Angels sing,
Archangels rejoice:
Today the righteous rejoice, saying:
Glory to God in the Highest!

The antiphonal effect certainly is fun to listen to. This is a seriously nice arrangement; I like the rapid alterations in the intro in particular. Definitely different from the more usual Christmas submissions on the site. I enjoyed it a lot.
PS: "canunt"? it's been a long time (longer than I would care to elaborate) since I've had Latin, but shouldn't it be "cantant"?
