So recently I've taken up doodling in school again and one idea that struck me (in particular thanks to one of my classes) is to do a homage to the new Pokemon X/Y starters. With the new region being inspired by Europe, I've decided I wanted to draw these three in the style of Art Noveau paintings.

These are my initial sketches with the idea, with Chespin being the only one I'm fairly sold on (originally it was going to just be French artists, but I think I'm going to expand it to include the art style of artists from other parts of Europe. Not sure which ones, though). Of course, this being a WIP and there still being time for the evolutions to be revealed, there's a chance my idea for this might change in the months to come.

Why post these now? Well aside from how I'm liking Chespin so far, I'm also sadly unable to continue working on these until either schoolwork or my commission backlogged is cleared, whichever comes first. Believe me, I want to work on these but I need to focus my energies elsewhere for a while. Until then, here you go.
