Why does it look.. sad? scared..?

I love this! It has some awesome detail work, especially on the fleeing Bulbasaur which is really cool especially since it isn't the main focus of the picture itself. I also love the very small detail in the birds flying in the background that suggests exactly what they are without overdoing it. Overall it is really well done :3 However I do notice one thing that draws my eye immediately and bothers me just a little- and that would be the foreleg that is closest to the viewer. It seems a little short in proportion to the rest of the body and the pose the Arcanine is running in.

Arcanine always seemed like the best pokemon for a wandering pokemon trainer to have. They're like a giant warm, fluffy pillow that can protect you.

I love a good realistic take on pokemon :3
