Good stuff. I read an interesting blog called the NYC Educator. In short, an educator of decades' experience talks about the outrageous situation of education in their area, from attempts to privatize education to efforts to drastically reduce already dwindling rights and powers of teachers and teacher unions. It's enraging to read, but more importantly, it's informative.
Here's where all this shit relates to your comic! One news source leads to another, and I eventually learned about gentrification in education, in which efforts are being made to bring students from well-to-do families and areas into inner-city public schools to make them look better and fill in those circles on the tests so the schools can get federal funding. Sorry if this post sounded like a plug, but the comic struck a chord with me today.
