If I recall right, Clark, or someone of his time, had story about workers ofn orbita construction site.. where they had suits in form of small "space boats"

The spacesuits they use around the ISS practically are form-fitting spaceships. The body part is a hard shell, I think, and the environmental and maneuvering equipment fits into a pack worn on the back. Of course, if we perfect "virtual presence," there may be no reason to send people out of their spaceship. The "suit" would walk itself and you would just think you were in it.

True... there is only self-maintenance problem left still... Normally that kind of vehicles called powered suit , imo.

It's the "Compact" space ships that impress me.
