Dragon Heart (Orchestra DEMO)
Felt like making this an orchestratd piece, will reply to all messages tomorrow as I have to get up early for work. It's muddy and volume levels need work, but yeah, it's coming out okay.

Mrr, looking forward to the finished piece.
Though, if you want to what I would define as essence of a dragon, the song needs more power. Right now it feels more like 'Falcon heart': Elegant, free but not exactly the wild strength I would consider part of every dragonic being.
I hope you understand what I mean, not trying to put clear limits onto how I imagine dragons should be, after all everyone has the freedom to choose his own path, but just trying to express my own feelings in this regard.

this song triggers nostalgic memories of the song, "Through The Sea Of Time", from my favorite game. Reminds me of that one moment where the only guy left who could help you find out about your past/future suddenly has to sacrifice himself to save you. That one scene is why I love the game so much, as it takes a lot to bring me to tears. I tried remixing the bg music and failed, and other musicians have chickened out when I asked them, at the sight of the sheet music. But this song reminds me of it. I'm not leading into asking you for a request, as I know you don't do them, but I'm just saying you probably have the skill.
Well, it seems pretty popular in terms of pokemon music, so there should be a midi of it. I can import the midi file into fl studio (saves a lot of time finding melodies by ear), and tweak it into an orchestra, which involves first changing the parts to orchestral instruments and then remixing the melody from there. I'm by no means professional, heck, I don't have any music theory knowledge at all, but I can do my best.
Are you actually thinking of doing it!? I wasn't referring to just the 1 song, I was referring to putting the 8 songs from there up until the credits into a single song that perfectly recites the storyline! I saw one, just one person try just a piano composition, and it went for 22 minutes!
oh. lol. Let's see... Oh wait there's more than 8! I always miss one of the Temporal Tower songs...
1. Through The Sea Of Time
2. In The Hands Of Fate
3. Temporal Tower
4. Temporal Spire
5. Temporal Peak
6. Primal Dialga
7. Aftermath
8. I Don't Want To Say Goodbye
9. Memories Of You
10. Credits
If you need the MIDI files, I can get most of them... I know I can find 1-3, 6, and 8-9.
I'm also bursting at the seams with advice, literally! I know these songs off by heart, and I have a nice amount of experience with exactly what goes on in the game, especially the emotions and energy that comes as you fight.
I'd recommend finding sound effects, and implementing them in the right parts of the song (including the general fighting of enemies in TT and TS) so that, like I was hoping when I tried and failed, it would tell the story. One thing I always hear, from day 1 of music class to the last test of the year, is that music is just organised sounds. Use the sounds to your advantage, but don't make dubstep, though!
Also, make the songs as long as they should be, not as long as they go for. I heard a remix that had a primal diaga battle that went for 8 times as long as the temporal tower part. I spent a whole day on Temporal Tower and only a few minutes on Dialga.
Last, silence, in certain parts, is vital.
I still have tons more advice, just ask.

Rock Orchestra as brought to you by Andrew Lloyd Webber? Might need more pipe organ for that.
Sounds promising! Muddy, as you said, but definitely promising. Would suggest smothering the strings just a tad since they come through somewhat piercing in headphones, but however this shapes up I look forward to seeing it complete!

I love Phantom of the Opera, heh. My friend, any advice you give is golden as your orchestration talents are superb; I will smooth the strings and noticed my high flute clashes with my high violin (I've added more to it) so to avoid a conflict I was going to drop the violins an octave, or the flutes, not sure yet. Thanks for the help!
