"Mommy said that she was washing all of my boy clothes and my blue blankie and the dryer broke, so she had to borrow a shirt and blankie from one of her friend's cubbies who's a girl! Plus, they ran out of boy diapers at the store and she had to get girl ones! But she says I still look really cute in pink and that everyone will love me just as much in my new outfit! I's not so sure, so I's a little shy about it...but I think I like it!
Plus, daddy said boys can wear pink if they're comforble in their mas-kuh-linty. I dun know what that means, but he says I look really tough in pink too! Besides, he says some really cool guys called Air-oh-smif really like pink too!"
In all actuality, I've wanted to get a pink commission for a while, so I asked the all wonderful
kalida to do one in one of her sketch batches.
I of course love it so much! What I really like about it is that I actually think it has a pretty good masucline/feminine mix. I mean, sure, if someone just saw it by itself they'd probably think I was a girl, but I think there's something about the arms and legs looking a little muscular that actually make me feel like I look a bit masculine in it as well. I really like that, because I don't view myself as a sissy, but I feel like I have a pretty strong masculine and feminine side, and this is the first time I really kind of tapped into my more feminine side.
Pink is a great color, and I love the way I look in it! Maybe I'll get some more pink-like pics in the future!

You know, I still have yet to get a commission of me in purple or lavender, and I think that should be next on my list.
IRL, I actually have a few purple shirts. I'm a Minnesota Vikings fan, so I have a few of their shirts, and I also have a Purple Parrots shirt from Legends of the Hidden Temple that I got online.
So purple is cool too!

Outside of cub stuff, I'm not secure in my masculinity either, because I don't wear any pink stuff IRL. However, I've gotten some pink cubby clothes and a few pink blankies, and I really love them! I used to be kind of averse to pink (baby blue boy stuff was always my favorite!), but I've really warmed up to pink over the years.
Yeah, it's interesting...maybe it's just because I know he's a boy, but there's something about the pic that has a certain sense of masculinity in it.....or maybe I'm just crazy.
I would say this is a "girly" pic rather than a "sissy" pic. More of a "tough girl" or a "girl power" type thing...more of a modern cool girl vibe. Not as much of the prissy and frilly girl stuff (not that there's anything wrong with that).
