The details on the book are strangely my favorite part of this.

You seem to be going with a slightly more cel-shaded approach here, IMO, and I like it because you're still putting a quite a bit of textual and relief detail in. I adore the subtle, lineless background. It looks like one of those things where people put a photo in and apply a paint daub filter or something to make it softer and less defined. That's a very sweet face, and I like the couple of nods to artdecade himself on the magazine cover, like what you did with voln's.
