No, not at all.. it makes you an amazing person. I'm too desensitized and mentally unstable to help anyone now, I cant even help myself, so its brilliant that people who want to help others are around..I used to help people before I lost the plot..now I have him to help me, and I'm so glad I found him. I probably wouldn't be here now if it wasn't for him.
If you love him and vice versa then you'll self-repair over time. Just don't lose sight of what's important or let something insignificant get in between you. (the big trick there is deciding what's insignificant) With luck, you'll live your days and decades out with him.
At least, that's the scenario that I've always wanted to be in. Hopeful.
