This program has been my latest project. I'm still working on it, but it has some basic functionality. It was built completely in C++ as a demonstration for what the Command Prompt can do, which when it comes to GUI, isn't much.
THIS PROGRAM WILL WANT TO RUN IN FULL-SCREEN! Problems are though, Windows Vista and up do not allow full screen Console applications if I remember correctly, so windowed may be the only way around it. If you want to switch to Windowed Mode in XP, just press ALT+ENTER. It's not as fun though.
Features Include:
PONG! (Written by William Hemsworth)
Sound Player (basic functionality .WAV player)
More to come!

WHERE IS THE START BUTTON WHY CANT I CLICK HOW COME THERE IS ONLY TEXT *gets killed by the obnoxious*
I would actually love a windows-compatible text-only ui with task switching like when you do alt-tab, but the grandmas and dumbfuck kids make anything like that impossible, plus microsoft.

Well, I'm kind of working on my own OS, but it's sort of a life's hobby. That would be a great feature in that, so I may add that to the list.
I think windows 8 is a very sad OS. It marks a time where we have gone backwards. We went from unitasking in the 80's with text based OSes, to multitasking in the 90's and 00's BACK to unitasking again. What a backwards world we live in.

The fact that I thoroughly enjoy the blackberry playbook because of the best exemple of seamless, competent multitasking in non arm-based tablets (also, android compatibility) while everybody else jizzes over android and ios saddens me more. Ladies and gentlemen, the future of computing: eyesores with vanila dos level multitasking (android barely counts as multitasking because it has a tendency to auto close apps for no reasons)
seeing how blackberry 10 is based on the playbook os, and its multitasking seems even better than playbook os, I hope people wisens up and starts paying attention to that kinda thing in other oses. well, aside from apple because steve jobs cock sucking even though he is rotting in his coffin.

I've always liked blackberry, just like with palm. they mostly made solid products that were fun to use (even the first two gens of the blackberry storm, especially the second gen, which had multi touch, were decent phones. the click screens were pure genius, and it's a shame rim never bothered to use them in more phones) and their os were pretty great despite their lack of features at times. for exemple, pocket pc was superior in every points than palm pdas, but palm did important things better (battery life, writing, etc).
I miss symbian too, that tying was crazy flexible and powerful, and to me the nokia n95 was the pinacle of smartphones (find me an android port of quake 3 that is feature-complete and doesn't require crazyass specs to run at a decent framerate, I dare you). just this weekend I had a chat with someone at an internet cafe and he was "meh" when I mentioned s60 until I told him that I could plug my n95 to my tv, connect a wiimote with controller classic pro via bluetooth, start a radio streaming app, and then run quake 3 and play honest to god internet matches in it, and he was genuinely impressed.
