Previously...

Mondo hurried down the corridors with the weighty gun in his arms. It wasn't until a minute later he realized he had no idea how to find Donatello and the other turtles, if they were even here at all yet. But then he heard voices from the nearby room...

"Donnie, you're my brother and I love ya, but so help me if you don't gimme that Twinkie, I'm going to strangle you with your own bandanna!"

"Raph, take a look at yourself! You're bigger than Mikey was this morning! There is no way you need any more of these!"

"Hey, we know the Foot are stealing them, right? So the less there are, the more it ruins their plans! Now gimme!"

Mondo peeked into the room and grinned at his luck, seeing two familiar faces. Well, one familiar face, anyway. Was that Raph? The guy had blown up like a balloon! He was usually all hard muscle and harder attitude, and there he was belly wobbling and fat arms reaching for the single snack cake Donatello held in his outstretched arm.

"Raph? Donnie? Dudes!"

Donatello turned, nimbly switching off hands to better talk with the skater while still managing to keep the Twinkie out of reach, much to Raph's chagrin.

"Mondo! You managed to escape? Raph and I were going to figure out a way to rescue you and Leatherhead, but we... got a little sidetracked. How'd you get here anyway? Leatherhead's usually so paranoid it's impossible to catch him off-guard..."

The gecko chuckled, nodding. "Yeah, most times! But last night I convinced him to come out to this quiet little spot I know so we could, y'know, have some time under the stars and stuff..."

With that, Mondo plunged into a breathless retelling, only slightly embellished, of the story of their capture by Shredder and the Foot, how they'd managed to escape, their encounter with Krang, and the gun that turned Leatherhead into a steadily expanding mountain of reptile.

"..And so he said he'd hold off Krang, which I bet he could at that size! I mean he was big before but now he's like BIG. Y'know, he actually looks kinda hot that way. Is it weird I think that? All huge and soft... like he's even more huggable than usual. I mean, like, he probably couldn't even hug me back if he wanted to now, but --"

Donatello cleared his throat, startling the rambling gecko from his awkward train of thought. "Uh, Mondo? Leatherhead told you to find me. Did he say why?"

Mondo grinned, baring his braces again. "Ohhh, right! That's probably because Krang's got this Twinkie reactor or something that's gonna power the Technodrome once they have this part he says you dudes took, and this gun was using the same stuff..."

"What?! A Twinkie reactor?? That... that actually makes a little sense. And here I thought they were just trying to create an army of Twinkie monsters."

"I would totally be okay with that!" shouted Raph from around another mouthful of cake.

"Raph, get your face out of that crate before you bust your shell or something! Argh..." He sighed, turning back to Mondo. "Well, the thing I salvaged is back at the lair, and as long as Leo and Mikey have it, it should be safe. I can probably use this gun to figure out how to shut off the reactor, but the problem is finding it now..."

"Oh! that's totally easy, dude. It's right in the middle at the bottom floor, right below where LH and I were hanging. Come on!"

Hauling the loudly-protesting Raph away from his precious Twinkies, the heroes made their way down to the reactor room...

1) When they arrive, they're the only ones there! So what are Leo and Mikey doing...?

2) Leo and Mikey are there already... without IRON Chef! What happened?

3) Shredder beat them to the reactor, and -he- has IRON Chef! Oh no!


Whew, this one took forever! Who knew all those little doodles would take so long to look good? still he 'n LH are cute as all hell in that first little part right there. Contemplated Mondo's story bein' in stick figures and crayola, but he's a little more mature than that! Maybe.
