It is stupendous in the utmost that you keep coming back here even against the wind of scarce time and divided attention. One of the few good things about getting older is the ability to look at the admired craftsmen and craftswomens, in a time-compressed perspective, noticing patterns and tendencies. And in your case, hiatus or not, there's been a fairly consistent flow of new works appearing here over the years, and that is cool thing to achieve.
The reality-warping factor on this picture is considerable, especially where curving and swirling is concerned, starting with the background whooshitude, carrying over in the clothes stripes practically coinciding vectors, and culminating with Troublfree's whirlpoolish spots. Not to mention the twirly accessory in R.'s ear; your ability to work diminutive pieces of proletarian jewelry into your characters' outlook is the stuff of legends.
Good to see your propensity for integrating words into the composition in action again. Don't know if that had been a part of your formal education or it's a natural font of creativity rushing, but you've worked with various fonts and typefaces and embellilletters and what not so much that you'd probably be capable of throwing it down with the cream of the calligraphy crowd's crop if you tried it now.
Cheers to life-affirming artistic expression !

It was your creative way of working words into your works that I meant, not the accuracy or the energy efficiency of your technique. I'm always letter-shy in my works(like that one composed of letters entirely, yeah *self-sarcasm*), but you have all sorts of lyrics and manifestos and battlecries embedded into your artwork that you might as well be called a graphic novelist. My sympathies in relation to the hardships that drawing those letters impose on you - I hope we're drifting towards the time when a lot of previously hard stuff in drawing would come more naturally and effortlessly.
Good vibes to you !
