I have NO idea what I'm doing. None. However I have been getting back into ball joint dolls lately, and I've kind of been wanting to try making... something. Not a whole doll. People who make whole dolls are kind of insane. (I mean that in the nicest possible way.) But anyhow, I was thinking about doing something that's to a bjd the way my Loonakits are to a plush, and then I saw somebody else doing these "egg pets" that are kind of similar, and I knew what I wanted to make!

I've never done anything like this before. I don't do much sculpting. I have only as much knowledge of how joints work as comes from looking at the two dolls I own. But the only jointed part is the tail, so it shouldn't be too hard! I hope!

It's going to be a fennec. Or at least a fox. :) Big ears are awesome.

The tail is going to have a fabric cover that slips over it, so it's fuzzy! The hair on the head part is going to be sculpted though. I think it'll look good. The back of the head will come off so you can put eyes in it. So it'll have three parts.

And yes, when it's all done it will be cast in resin. I've already ordered a resin casting kit with a gift card I got for Christmas. (I got it for fursuit stuff, but I'm probably going to cast this little guy first, if I don't manage to ruin him.
