So ummm...okay, it's 6.25 am when I finished this one, and maybe it's just a remake from first digital picture of Kovu but, I wanted to same thing again, and tried my own style as well :3
Took a lot of time I must say ^^" and DAMN! His mouth wide open was bloody difficult to do without any reference x_____x"
I feel bad for him It's kinda vent-ish art also...yeah!

As a HUGE Kovu-fan, I like this very much There is indeed not really an expression like this in the movie, so it must've been difficult to sketch this. One thing that could be maybe improved is the length of his muzzle; it seems a tad short. You could compare it with the final scene of the movie, where everyone is roaring on Priderock; he has his muzzle pretty wide open there. Other than that, it's really well done and conveys a lot of emotion. I especially like the details in the mane
(and about that Kiara-issue: I would tell Kovu to see it positive, that he's now free for Simba, at least in my weird imagination )
