I've gotten a lot of IM's about tips on how to make banners and signs easily. This one only took me about 20 minutes, and most of that was just finding materials. You may THINK it's complicated, but it's not. Using layers for shadows and highlights, embossing the text, and choosing a few trims and background materials that fit the theme of what you're trying to display really helps draw a person's eye.

As for what it is, it's a sign for a Second Life sim called Drekiheim.

Drekiheim is a furry friendly Nordic fantasy style RP sim. It doesn't have clunky combat systems or anything like that. I've been playing there for a few days and the RP is pretty damn good, if a little quirky at times. If you're looking for some fun and you RP on SL, you should absolutely give the place a look. It's damn pretty, too.
