This device your looking at operates the eye lids it plus down and opens the lids theirs 2 sets of disks one for each lid so in order for it to wink when the motor is revers.It's very flat so in order to install it in the head with out getting in the way and it is sealed off tight and is silicone coated to keep the noise levels down and the humidly as well.

Cool. I figured that used micro hobby servos and a Parallax basic stamp to control them.

Ahh I see the bowden cables transmit the movement to the eyes. Very old school :) but a nice way to keep it flat.

Now you only need to track your eyes for it. :)
