"The castle was under attack" yelled the watchman from the highest tower to the warriors below.
"Quickly!" yelled the king from his bed chambers balcony "Every able man to the armory! Prepare for battle!"
Across the square attending to the royal horses the young Darren heard the kings cry. Quickly throwing the pitchfork of hay down he raced to the armory; little did he know that a warlock was lurking among them.
"Take this young man, Take this saber" said and old man new to the armory. "Take this sword, Take it and use it... for he who garnishes this sword, the enemy shall not get close"
Hearing this Darren grab a sword from the old man he's never seen before. and before he could even make it to grab a wooden shield Quills thicker than the forest of the south Loc Henry busted from his flesh. Pain busted from the young man as pops ran up and down his spine pushing out to a quill covered tail. His face burned and ached worse than the mule kick he received earlier that week. claws burst from his feet and hands as they became paws. And as quick as the pain came, it subsided.
Looking into the shining brass of armor Darren could see what he become, the long quills of the common porcupine covered his entire back of his body while short course brown fur covered the front. '...for he who garnishes this sword...' Darren mouth to his reflection taking in the warlocks saying '...thy enemy shall not come close...'. Thinking quickly he grabbed the shining bronze breast plate and armlets and secured them around his new body and rushed out to the battle field. Knowing that he will live, the castle will be save, and that he was the one to save it.
A sketch which a friend of mine mentioned as a possibility to draw while waiting for my flight home, unfortunately, I didn't get it until I landed and so It had to wait until I had some time to sketch
I do appreciate any feedback from my viewers, it's how I learn so please comment on things you liked didn't like, things I can do better on excreta.
