A major character in a story of mine.
Also, I haven't drawn wolves in a long time and I've been getting tired of drawing only humans lately. So this image is a break from that norm.
Background info- Wrongfully accused of murdering his best friend and the friend's family, this character is a fugitive who escaped to a widely populated city, making it almost impossible to track an individual. He works as part of the defense force of the city under the leadership of an wise old tortoise. (hence the helmet/hat design on his back resembling the shell of a turtle.)
He constantly searches for the daughter of his friend b/c the child's body was nowhere to be found yet, in which he believes she is still alive.

Now that you mentione it. True, you haven´t draw a canine type for some time ago. Guess it´s more like a surprise for us and for yourself for such results. The face looks nice, not very cartoon, and pretty serious for it and for his style.
As for his backgrounds, so he was accused, but it wasn´t true, for murdering his friend and his family, and now he´s looking for the friend´s sister, right? That makes me wonder what could it be the reason, not to mention if the true killer will chase the sister too. That´s an interesting story ^ ^

I just think of canines as felines with longer muzzles and round nostrils that curl inwards with long fur. So it wasn't that difficult to draw canines compared to what I've been drawing lately. The subject is highly stylized mainly in the visage b/c obi wolves don't look these but I just like my characters having that detachment from reality and just require them to look "cool".
