Everyday is a new mask
Concealing who we truly are
Infinite faces, yet limited time
Just throw on any mask; you have to get through the day.

Around corners and street signs
I see the people walking by
A thought strikes the mind:
“…We look kinda similar.”

Choose your emotion; I’ll have it.
Choose your style; I’ll have it.
Choose your mood; I’ll have it.
Choose your options; I’ll have it.

I have never seen so many familiar faces
This should be in the Guiness Book of World Records
Alas, there is a downside to Similarity
Too much of it will lead to a colossal bore.

Why must we wear their face?
Why must I wear yours?
Is it because of fear;
Fear of not fitting in?
Fear that we will be shunned by others?
Unable to unmask our faux identity?

The reasons why we cannot:
Confusion and Delusion.
The reason why we should:
To gain Independency.
When we mask ourselves,
It’s not only the appearance that is covered
The Sense of Judgment wanes
Destroying the Mind, Body, and Soul.

So now, it ends
Time to get real
Do yourself a favor
And take off the mask.

It’s very simple
Just grab your face, pull gently
