I woulda taken that chair and put a little ways down that hallway, that would've been such a cool shot, just the chair, in a hall of those doors. heh

Something about this one is crazy weird too, I love it :D

I rarely set up shots (lazy), but it would have been nice for that chair to be elsewhere. I probably would have moved it closer to the camera though; my eye caught the 90 degree angle of the chair paired with the yellow doors, and the associated light pushing through them across the floor. Symmetry is the bomb. :D

On that same note, it's unsettling to think of someone watching the wallpaper peel away to expose each era of renovation.

These historical locations are a dying breed, and even the few that still remain active are quickly being swallowed by build-for-cost progression. You'd be amazed how many of these properties cemeteries are buried under new development.

The colours are fabulous!

Personally I think the chair adds to the visual impact. Hallway shot are cool and all but the inclusion of the chair gives the impression that humanity once occupied the space. Does that make sense?

It makes sense to me! You'll see fewer of my typical hallways shots. They have to be crazy or colorful. This one leaves question to the end, so I like!

Aside from the paisley wallpaper, this photo really is a nice one, man! I particularly like the way you framed the hallway in back. It gives quite a bit of depth to the photo

This place certainly held its own with color and style. I need to get back. I was overly exhausted by this time, so I was reluctant to take many photos.

I bet that hallway looked intense with that lite and dark blue-patterned wallpaper.

The great thing with photography is that you can capture more saturation (or mood) from a room than you generally see with your eyes. Longer exposures really bring out detail and color.
