So spent half the day trying to recover my files.
I swear It is not my weekend.
But my fault.
So had 2 folders called My Art.
One with ALL my art from the last 8 years. (porn and normal art alike)
Second with the porn I brought home for break to work on commissions.
So instead of dropping "Porn" folder into the computer's 'My Art' folder, I dropped the second 'My Art' folder onto the first thinking only the Porn folder will be updated.
RESULT:
I have lost so much of my art that it's not even funny.
But to commissioners, lucky for you your porn is fine. It's what over wrote all the rest of my documents. So relax.
Sorry for complaining, just art is how I vent as I keep on walking.

System restore won't bring back files sadly. You need specialized software that can read sectors of the hard drive that are marked as deleted, you can attempt to recover them if they haven't been overwritten yet (assuming you don't have a SSD drive, if you do you are SOL). That said, the longer you use your computer the more likely some of the sectors well get overwritten or corrupted by the system using the drive for the page file or storing temporary files >.<
Sadly, these programs are generally expensive and difficult to use, so if you want to try to use one to restore stuff, best of luck!

Find a tech guy. Its an easy task to recover files for someone with Log software. Your computer contains history of everything so you never trully lose anything. If I was nearby Id show ya but canadas a drive... Yeah most people with some C++ could get all your files back.
