One might also ask how his highlight always perfectly follows the exact outer edge of his hair. But hey, it's a comic, it doesn't all have to make perfect sense \o/

I'd say Kharma has come a long way from when he first met Theran. Going from bully to heroic mercenary is a big step in anyone's life. On another note, the montage layout is very well-done; I can easily imagine a prominent song to go along with it. As for the shadow-monsters, I'm getting that "More than meets the eye" vibe.
I'm leaving the motivations for Kharma's turned-leaf attitude intentionally hidden for now. :3 Is he just trying to impress Theran? Is he genuinely interested in being a better person? Or is he just looking for any excuse to wreak havoc without the magic-resistant lion beating him into the floor for it again? o:
