(If you like this picture you can COMMISSION ME!)
There, something of mine I can get out in an hour. Trick to doing it, grab the texture map for one 3D model, fast re-render out the background for another, and then go nuts with lighting. It's like photo manipulation, except without the photo part. Result, my happy dappy creepy frozen puppy of licking death, Di-koud. Itz so cuuuuute! (It's 3 am, I need sleep. Perfect thing to think about before bed.) The thing that is really disturbed about this creation is the fact it has basically no face but everything sort of pulls and folds in such a way that it gives this the most freakiest eternal smile without really looking or actually smiling. Also helps when it's double the fun, with two heads on the one frame for that extra bit of smiley. My warp and twisted mind.
Anyway, just wanted to do something quick with this old texture map. Was really nice and detailed, and am still quite proud of it so voila. Originally that map took hours and hours of work, so one hour to do something with it. Did it with Vita's now with this. Lighting is a little weird though mostly since Di-koud got the normal map treatment and its map was meant to handle the depth.
Maya 7.0.1, 10, Photoshop 5, CS3, CS4
(Trying to remember the programs all the stuff was originally done in is a pain)
