Yep, I've done music too. This is a song I did during my Redwall RPing days. It's about 4 years old on a free music making software. (I was cheap back then... <.<)

Go to codamusic.com or search for Finale NotePad. It's free, however you can't export to MIDI or .wav formats. You'll need to Upgrade to SongWriter to do that, however it costs $50, but has a discount if you have NotePad. ^^ Have fun!
