There were a number of factors, both with Stank and outside of Stank, that led me to throw gobs of money at him during VST.
Stank preybulges were pretty high up that ladder.
I absolutely adore the idea that a pred (or in this case, a dom that has temporary absorption/ensnaring abilities) can have the one under their power showing pretty much fully through, so outsiders know just who it is in there.

All the top-tier vore artists tend to have that in common; you, Roco, Slash, VVItch...without devolving into "omg fucking murr" levels of shamelessness, it hits the right buttons for a lot of people, especially those making the dom/sub connection to pred/prey.
