Jane Howard, Charleston's Ace Pitcher
Just 26 years old and entering her fourth season, Jane Howard (red fox) has established herself as the top pitcher on the Charleston Swamp Foxes staff. Though she doesn't have a 90-mile an hour fastball, she uses an assortment of several off-speed and breaking pitches to compliment it.
Her pitching delivery is nice and easy, yet precise. Longtime pitching coach Alex Smalls (German Shepherd), who joined the Swamp Foxes in 2009, once remarked she had the best mechanics he had ever seen.
Jane is all business on the mound, focusing on her task at hand, seeing what she can do to help her team win. But on her off-days she is regarded as the bubble gum champion on the team, able to blow bubbles the size of large exercise balls. Rookies need to watch out for any pink gum bubbles that suddenly appear on their baseball caps. ;)
How will Jane fare in 2013? Tune in to the FLB and find out!

There have been 2 separate attempts to start a Furry Football League (one of which, I created the Iowa Cornfeds for), but neither got off the ground. It wouldn't surprise me to see more team sports in the future though, like soccer, and who knows? Maybe the FCAA may actually get simulated someday. (wouldn't that be something, but then each conference would need administrators to pull that off right).
I see you got her on paper.
Here's a bit of inspiration. This is the link to the ball park in Charleston, SC for the Charleston River Dogs, the Class A Yankees farm team. It is a beautiful facility. http://www.milb.com/team3/page.jsp?ymd=20100303&content_id=8665772&vkey=team3_t233&fext=.jsp&sid=t233
