The monstrous Devil's Machine...an unholy organic superstructure that holds the most powerful and evil of all time inside of it, Giygas. If the orifice at the front of the machine were to ever open...all hell would break loose and the world will end. Only four young children are brave enough to stand up to this disgusting, invincible construct and the being inside.
After completing the low poly version in 3DS Max, I brought it in to ZBrush to add in all of that lovely detail. I used the Clay Buildup brush quite a bit to bring up the shapes, and then used the Smooth brush to...well...smooth it out. After several subdivisions, I started to use the Standard brush to get nice, smooth detail. Looking back on it, I could have used some radial symmetry to make the "cap" of the machine to speed up the sculpting on that area.
For those of you who are interested in using ZBrush to make high poly models, follow this rule. Don't jump in and start subdividing and try to create extreme detail right away. Instead, slowly build up your detail as you go from subdivision to subdivision. Start off building up your shapes, then go in and add in more and more detail as you increase your polycount.
