At the climax of my graphic novel, Vlad Magnus kidnaps the heroine, Peggy Jo, and leaves an ultimatum for our hero.

Rather than do a computer lettered page, I decided to go for a handwritten look. This was lettered with a fountain pen. Those ink splotches you see on the page? They started out as an accident - the fountain pen clogged up and I shook it hard to get the flow going again. That caused some spattering on the page. However, I thought it looked good and left it. To make it look a little more worn, I put this through some noise and blur filters in Photoshop.
